A judge has banned 9 members of a known gang of thieves from an entertainment district. The gang, known as the "Krooks", is known to target vulnerable individuals, such as intoxicated people or tourists. They engage their victims in a possible street sale, then deceive them into giving up their cellphone to use a mobile payment app and transfer money.
The banned individuals include 8 named members and an unidentified 16-year-old. The Metro Police Department reported on the injunction, which was approved by a judge.
