A judge has ruled that a suspect in the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk should stand trial. The suspect, 23-year-old Tyler Robinson, is accused of firing the fatal shot from a rooftop at an event for Kirk's organization, Turning Point USA. Kirk was killed in a shooting in September 2025.

The ruling came after a five-day preliminary hearing in July, where prosecutors presented evidence. Both the defense and prosecution submitted written arguments and made additional arguments in court before the judge made a decision.

Further details about the case and the upcoming trial are available, including the possibility that the suspect may face the death penalty.
