Female Sumatran tiger cubs have been born to parents Dari and Badar. The animal health team was surprised by the birth of two cubs, as they were expecting only one. These cubs are part of a critically endangered species with very few individuals remaining in the wild or in zoos.

The zoo is monitoring the health of the mother and her cubs, and they are not yet ready to be seen by the public. The public will have a chance to help name the cubs, with further details available from the Memphis Zoo.
