From Bladen County, N.C.: A training operation went awry when a military aircraft experienced a fire. The aircraft, an MV-22B Osprey, was forced to make an emergency landing. Four Marines were on board, and one received injuries requiring treatment at a burn center. The other three Marines were unharmed and returned to their base.

The incident occurred during a military training exercise, and the aircraft had a significant amount of fuel on board. Fire crews worked to bring the fire under control.
