From Myrtle Beach, S.C.: A tap ensemble is providing adults with a unique opportunity to pursue their passion for dance. Michele Selvanto-Kowalski, a veteran tap teacher, was inspired by her adult students' enthusiasm and dedication. She created the Carolina Rhythm Tap Ensemble, a group specifically for adults, to give them a chance to shine.
The ensemble allows adults to blend fancy footwork with fun, and provides an outlet for them to pursue a dream they may have put on hold. Selvanto-Kowalski teaches at the Coastal Dance Centre and has spent over 45 years teaching tap.
