Mental health issues affect many veterans, resulting in a significant number of deaths. A new campaign is underway to address this problem. The American Psychiatric Association Foundation has created a video series featuring personal stories of veterans and their families.

The goal of this series is to encourage veterans to seek help and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health care. Many veterans who die by suicide had not received mental health treatment in the preceding year.
