An accident on a carnival ride resulted in injuries to nine people. The incident occurred when riders came into contact with a barrier as the ride was descending. Four of the injured were hospitalized.

State investigators found that the accident was due to a mistake made by the ride's operator. As a result, the operator will no longer run the ride and other operators will receive additional training.
