A bronze statue honoring a boy who died from cancer has been recovered in Florida. The statue, valued at approximately $8,000, was reported missing from a park in Miami Lakes on August 8. Detectives tracked down the statue on August 12 and arrested two suspects.

Derick Coca and Damian De Los Santos face grand theft charges. Further details about the case and the statue are available from the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office. The city of Miami Lakes considers the sculpture a memorial to the boy's battle with cancer.
